The University of Murcia will host on Monday, Day 2, the largest gathering of Spanish users of Sakai, the open source platform (open source) of distance learning using more than 350 universities and training centers in the world.
On this day, open to all stakeholders, the latest platform and other free software tools related to higher education that promotes Apereo Foundation, to which the project belongs Sakai will be presented.
The University of Murcia, which participates in it through its area of ​​Information Technology and Applied Communications (Attica), will present the work being done on the platform, which has among its main objectives to promote their use in Spanish-speaking universities.
The meeting, to be held in the hall of the building of Attica, Espinardo campus, beginning at 8:45 am, will feature leading experts in the field, as the executive director of the Foundation Apereo, Ian Dolphin, or Sakai PMC president, Charles Severance, among others.
