Murcia City Council has approved the specifications for the procurement of works of 'Execution of preventive fire defense systems in Majal White House in Sangonera La Verde, for a period of 6 months and an amount of 150,000 euros.
The Plan aims to transform the forest vegetation going from model plants high risk of fire to a model with less risk.
Through this project, the spread of fire will be avoided once started the fire and the long-term persistence of the mass of Aleppo pine within the protected where natural environment will ensure we meet, against the action of external agents, in this case wildfires.
Also adjacent to the municipal housing space will be protected from possible fires.
The works will include tree removal work;
pruning the lower branches of the trees to let them clean;
and chipping, which is the ground of waste by chipper, getting the best adaptation of the plant remains in the ground floor, while a faster decomposition.
Moreover, waste obtained from pruning will be removed with the help of a tractor to facilitate the work of chipping, and then move to the removal thereof from the mount.
They have been selected as areas of intervention in the municipal property, land adjacent bands with existing developments and those areas with very high densities of pines.
