The Board of Governors approved the specifications for contracting the Service 'noise mapping of the entertainment city of Murcia, for a period of six months, amounting to 60,000 euros.
With this project, the city of Murcia prepare the noise map of the main entertainment areas of the city, to assess compliance with the acoustic quality objectives established by the regulations, and allow defining the areas where it is necessary to adopt measures corrective, through the statement of Special Protection Areas Acoustics.
To do this, a minimum of 20 fixed control sound level meters are installed and shall be at least 3,500 itinerant noise measurements, enabling it to gather the existing noise levels in the study areas.
Through this information, the fulfillment of the objectives of acoustic quality in the different areas of the city will be analyzed, and based on this, be prepared, if necessary, the corresponding specific plans, which collected the necessary actions in each one of the study areas, to improve the noise situation.
The areas of study are:
- Zone 1: Environment Alfonso X and Perez Casas.
- Zone 2: Environment Plaza del Romea
- Zone 3: Environment Enrique Villar Street.
- Zone 4: Environment University Square and James Street Laws.
- Zone 5: Environment and Doctor Fleming street Saavedra Fajardo
- Areas to be determined by the Department of Environment for the development of the work.
The project will analyze the impact that sound leisure in general, both local concentration, for the stay of people in outer space, and allow you to have accurate data information to design strategies and proposals for improvement, and to encourage citizen involvement and participation.
The commitment of the noise mapping of entertainment is included in the current ordinance to protect the environment against the emission of noise and vibrations, in their adaptation to the state sector regulations.
