Adopted by consensus institutional statement to mark the November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
José Ballesta was appointed member of the management body of local authorities in the plenary session last September.
The Mayor, José Ballesta, has called the "consensus, participation and institutional understanding" in the first meeting held by the Board of Governors of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, where he was elected a member in the XI I plenary session held last September.
Among the resolutions adopted today by consensus is the approval of the institutional declaration on the occasion of November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, as well as accessions to the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty -17 October- and World Habitat Day and World Day -31 October- cities.
Also, the Board of Governors approved two initiatives related to economic development and employment: firstly, the accession of the FEMP to the International Decade Campaign for Youth Employment;
It has also approved the renewal of the collaboration agreement with the Tripartite Foundation for Training in Employment aimed at making related to the dissemination and extension of vocational training for employment activities.
The FEMP is the representative body of the Spanish municipalism main interlocutor with the government to defend the interests of local authorities, in addition to building bridges of understanding and ability to reach agreements.
