The president of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, said today at the opening of the College of Education and Primary (CEIP) 'New Schools' El Palmar, this new center "can have a modern educational facility, adapted to the needs XXI century and school, to receive the best possible preparation in the best facilities ".
The head of Murcia stressed that investing in education is a "priority for the regional government" and stressed that this center has a "modern facilities which meet the needs of El Palmar".
He also said that "everything has been possible thanks to the efforts of the Ministry, the city of Murcia, the school management and the AMPA, as we have all worked in the same direction and when we all can agree is easier to get goals".
Moreover, together with the CEIP 'New Schools', this course also has expanded the Colegio Juan XXIII of Murcia and has started its activity the new institute Francisco Ros Giner de Lorca.
It also has begun construction of four new centers in Murcia, in the hamlet of Lorca and Murcia Councilor districts of Guadalupe and Puebla de Soto, to which 6.5 million euros are allocated.
Also during the summer they have undertaken improvement works in 42 schools (24 elementary and primary and 18 secondary and high schools).
The Community this year has increased the number of scholarships, teachers, schools, school bus routes, as well as bilingual schools, since 80 percent of secondary schools are bilingual and there are 35,000 students in Primary bilingual, 7,000 more than last year.
CEIP 'New Schools' El Palmar
The College of Education and Primary (CEIP) 'New Schools' El Palmar has over 400 students and Primary, and its construction has invested 2.9 million euros.
The regional chief executive, who toured the new facilities, highlighted the work of teachers and stressed that this center is also part of the network of bilingual schools in the region.
The new building has three blocks of classrooms and facilities have been improved and exterior spaces of the school.
In total, 6,000 square meters and 12 classrooms for primary education, six for Children, common uses classrooms, offices for administrative services, gym, two sports courts and 22 parking spaces for teachers, among others.
The center is accessible to people with motor disabilities throughout the local area and all have a direct right light and natural ventilation, which adds to a good integration of all spaces.
