The director of the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands, Rafael Rebolo, with the conference "Light the Universe" will open the "Week of Light: Rediscovering the sky", organized by the University of Murcia from 19 to 23 October at the Museum Water Science and the regional capital.
The activity, which is promoted by the Scientific Culture Unit of the Vice President for Research, directed by Professor Juan Antonio Garcia highlight the scientific, cultural and aesthetic value of the sky through lectures, a workshop and an observation of the night sky the city of Murcia.
A conference Rebolo (Monday 18:30), will be followed by the discloser and journalist Miguel Alacid "Both sides of the bulb" (Tuesday, May 20), the researcher at the Astrobiology Centre (CSIC / INTA) Juan Ángel Vaquerizo "Astrobiology: Life Is a common phenomenon in the universe?"

On Friday, also at 19:00, Josefa Rubio Cascales, a professor of IES Don Pedro Garcia Aguilera (Moratalla), held a workshop on the principles of animation and optical illusions, aimed at children.
The program is completed with the observation of the night sky urban city of Murcia, which will take place on Tuesday at 20:00 hours, under the guidance of Jose Antonio de los Reyes, the Astronomical Observatory La Murta.
