Researchers at the University of Murcia will participate in the announcement of Repsol Entrepreneurs Fund, which provides financial assistance of up to 288,000 euros for projects of any area that, in its application, achieve significant reductions in energy consumption.
On Tuesday, October 20, from 9:30 pm, will be held in the auditorium Lumeras Hermenegildo Castro (Faculty of Chemistry, Campus de Espinardo) a day of presentation of the call, the deadline for applications ends on November 15, 2015.
The background to all entrepreneurs who have made, or intend to establish a company, as well as researchers who want to grow their research to transform it into a business project is heading.
The selected projects, besides financial assistance of up to 288,000 euros as a grant for up to two years, receive training and technological, legal and business advice from leading experts, coordinated by a team of tutors.
Likewise, they will have the support of infrastructure and capabilities of Repsol, one of the world's largest energy groups, and receive assistance in finding future investors.
Also in this fifth call, the type of projects is maintained under test idea or concept, which will receive 24,000 euros for a year to mature.
The participation of researchers from the University of Murcia in the announcement is the result of the accession agreement that promoted the Vice Fund Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Employment, headed the professor Francisca Thomas.
Through this initiative, the University of Murcia promotes entrepreneurship and the creation of technology-based companies, while showing its commitment to the environment and energy efficiency.
