The City Council will carry out works to implement security measures in the city of Murcia for cyclists and pedestrians in two roundabouts in the municipality.
This initiative is part of the second phase of Mobisec Project is funded by European funds.
The works, which will be executed by CONSTU-Archena, with an investment of 40,898 euros and a maximum of two months, consisting of the implementation of certain road safety measures at intersections such roundabout in the city to improve road safety same.
Specifically it intervenes in the roundabouts of intersection of the North Coast to the Avenida Juan Carlos I and the existing roundabout at the access of the A-7 from the UCAM and the shopping center La Noria.
The first one, which joins the North Coast and the Avenida Juan Carlos I, has a considerable slope, which favors the speeding vehicles joining the roundabout, plus it has a high traffic intensity
To improve road safety is signaled intersection for a maximum speed of 30 km / h own type LED lighting will be installed to provide greater visibility.

Likewise, the work includes the installation of posters of notice by the proximity of the intersection and tuneful bands asphalt.
Finally, reflector is placed on the outside shoulder of the intersection to give greater visibility at night and bright waterfalls in the roundabout (sequence of LED lights that are illuminating sequentially creating the appearance of turning around the roundabout)
The roundabout access to the A-7 (exit 571) from the shopping center La Noria also supports high traffic, and has a longitudinal slope works vehicles to access the same faster than that recommended.

In the first phase, implemented last year, security measures were installed in the following roundabouts:
1. Rotonda N-301 intersection of Alcayna
2. roundabout intersection on Highway Alcayna up to the malls in the Stadium Nueva Condomina
3. Round South Rotonda intersection with Avenida de los Dolores
4. Rotonda street of Espinardo Avda Rocamora
