Councilwoman Margarita Guerrero Murcia's change today called on the PP to implement "the new form of government that both preaches" and democratize youth representation body in the municipality, the Local Youth Council.
Guerrero explained that the PP in 2006 created this Council only counting with the participation of certain youth groups, including "several related" to that party, without extending it to other organizations of Murcia.
The mayor has defended the need to "democratize" the Local Youth Council, and has announced that it's change for Murcia will start a round of contacts with youth organizations in order to articulate a proposal for a regulation that will take the House.
In this proposal, all organizations will participate in order to create an open, plural and democratic space.
"It is time that the Council ceases to be a branch of the PP and become what it always should be, a speaker of the demands of the youth in the municipality," he argued Guerrero.
He has also criticized the current Board directly manage the three youth centers in Murcia, 585 m2, in the Santa Maria de Gracia, El Palmar and La Nave, located on Bacons Bridge.
"The City Council should control the management to provide a minimum of guarantees," concluded the councilor.
