Murcia City Council to modify the draft Tax Ordinance 2016 the fee for private use or special use of public roads.
Thus, the Department of Finance will extend the circumstances of not securing the fee for occupation of public roads to certain activities in order to encourage the celebration in the streets of cultural events with regional, national and / or international significance.
This is intended to encourage the holding of such activities that benefit the city for its cultural and tourist attractions.
Thus, when the City is partner of this activity, the organizers will not have to pay VAT on the street to celebrate.
This tax varies according to the category of the area in which it is held, the meter occupation and duration of the event.
This change affects the following assumptions:
- Conclusion of the celebrations scheduled, cultural traditions and city fairs organized by associations, collective and private entities activities.
- Celebration of music festivals, art, film or theater, organized by associations, groups and private entities, whose local impact could have implications at the regional, national international y7o.
- Public events or other occupations permanent or temporary, organized by associations or non-profit entities that are registered in the public register of organizations or associations, provided that authorization is linked to its corporate purpose.
- Other activities not included in the above organized by the city of Murcia.
