Citizens in the city of Murcia has met with the Association for Land Stewardship-ACUDE, at the request of that political party, the organization to meet and talk, among other things, land stewardship.
The meeting was attended also by Secretary of ACUDE who attended on behalf of the association, Mario Gomez, coordinator of Citizens in the municipality of Murcia, and Juan Jose Martinez, a biologist and consultant to this political formation.
During the meeting, held at the headquarters of the municipal group of the City of Murcia, various issues, such as land stewardship, implementing ACUDE treated in the municipality, the farms in the Huerta de Murcia and other places integrated in the network custody of the organization, that the municipality reach ten, by agreement with its owners and the problem of arrears turtles from captive individuals delivered to the Center for Wildlife Recovery of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Environment Located in El Valle, municipality of Murcia.
C's representatives showed great interest, especially for land stewardship as a tool for conservation and management, as well as the fate of more than 2,500 turtles berries for more than a decade has given citizenship to the Ministry competent.
ACUDE is a positive initiative in trying to build with the local population without excluding anyone.
For the organization, the participation of the inhabitants in the preservation of the environment is essential for proper management of resources compatible with conservation.
Similarly, ACUDE considers the landowners and land users (hunters, farmers ...) an important asset for sustainable land management and conservation.
