On Thursday October 8, at 20 am, it will be opened in the Exhibition Hall (2nd floor) of the Center for Art Palace Almudí (Murcia) exhibition bringing together 26 works selected in the XVI edition of the Prize of Painting Arts Plastic University of Murcia.
The award began its voyage in 1999-2000 and is endowed with 5,000 euros.
During the course of the event will be awarded the prize and the diploma.
The award is sponsored by CajaMar, Hon.
City of Murcia and FuentesVicente Foundation.
Lourdes Castro Ceron (Cádiz, 1977), was the winner of the 2015 edition of the Prize for Painting Painting Area-Hall of Art with his work: "Atmosphere I Tvojiang dawn on the river."
Likewise, the jury honored with runners works "Books do not burn well," Mario Rubio Noheda (Murcia), and "An Evening with Flaubert," Fernando Diaz Garcia (Alcobendas, Madrid).
The jury of the XVI Painting Prize was made by the Rector of the University of Murcia José Orihuela Calatayud;
Lorena Amoros Blasco, painter and professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Murcia;
Cerda Manuel Fernández-Delgado, Head of the Museums of the City of Murcia;
Molinero Francisco Ayala, painter and professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid, Universidad Complutense de Madrid;
Ana Navarrete Tudela, plastic artist and professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Cuenca;
Mª Carmen Sanchez-Rojas Fenoll, Museum Director Pedro Cano (Blanca, Murcia), acting as secretary of the jury Carmen Veas Arteseros, Technical Service Culture, University of Murcia.
