The dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Murcia, Antonio Rouco, in his capacity as chairman of the Conference of Deans, has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Defense for academic activities and research in areas of operations where Spanish troops are deployed.
So far, at the request of universities near the headquarters of the military units deployed in quotas for their participation abroad, they have been carrying out various activities such as part of the Civilian-Military (CIMIC) Cooperation.
They have promoted mutual understanding and facilitated the reconciliation of university activity and the fulfillment of the mission have attributed the armed forces.
Now, through this agreement, the collaboration is regulated, extending it to other powers of the Conference, which will allow a more efficient organization through a process of selection of teaching staff and students for each activity, with the support of the forces and armed units deployed in operations area, as Lebanon.
