Murcia will host next Saturday October 3rd, the II regional edition of the international robotics competition World Robot Olympiad.
This event aims will encourage the scientific and technological vocations among young people promoting the practical and creative use of mathematics, programming languages ​​and robotics.
The stage will be the kick Mall where the two categories of the competition will be developed: one for children 7 to 12 years and another for young people 13 to 15 years.
Contestants will have to form teams of three to solve a scientific challenge competition on a table with the help of a robot Lego Mindstorms, which will have to build and program that day.
The winners of this competition will represent Murcia in the national final to be held in Barcelona on October 10.
In addition, throughout this week, thanks to the collaboration between the city and the Seneca Foundation, have organized free workshops robotics in the same shopping center where attendees also built and programmed a robot as used in the competition.
In the last edition, the contest attracted more than 40 students and workshops attended by over 200 children from different schools.
