The Reunion cycle our doctors and Drs Honoris Causa, regarding the centenary of the University of Murcia, including the exhibition "When simplicity satisfied" by sculptor Antonio Campillo, who was honored with the appointment in December 2008.
The exhibition, curated by Martin Paez, will be inaugurated on Thursday 24 September, at 20 am, and will remain in the lobby of the building Convalescence (Chancellor) until November 6.
The activity is organized by Centum and Culture Service, and it works the Antonio Campillo Foundation.
The return of the artist
Five years after his death, the artist Antonio Campillo returns to the University of Murcia.
And it does so with all the evocative power of his work, through an exhibition where the works of the sculptor of virgins, of maternity, of corpulent women plump and voluptuous forms of cycling females, the horses ... give new sample of the good work that showed the teacher for more than sixty years of incessant and prolific career.
Campillo always said 'My sculptures are not for indoors, they are for everyone.
I want people to touch my sculptures, you enjoy, that they live '.
Starting tomorrow, day 24, all who come to the convalescence may do so.
