The University of Murcia (UMU) participate next Friday, the 25th, in a new edition of the Researchers' Night, the event held simultaneously in 280 European cities to spread the fun way scientists work.
The activity will take place from 18:00 to 22:00 in the courtyard of the former Artillery Barracks Murcia, where the educational institution of the research show that takes place in their laboratories, with special emphasis on those based on light and soil, coinciding with the commemoration in 2015 of two international years.
During that evening, the University of Murcia held 60 public guided activities of all ages, including workshops, exhibitions, competitions, exhibitions, lectures and demonstrations of all scientific subjects, plus guided tours of the facilities in the UMU Artillery Barracks: Aquarium and Museum.
Among other things, attendees will learn how are the remains of a prehistoric tomb, the world of augmented reality or the history of railways in the region and can also enjoy video games, insects that hide in the shade, "detecting" liars and chocolate tasting.
The event, organized by the University Scientific Culture Unit and Research Promotion, also will feature live broadcast of the radio program "Kitaro: life is science" and the actions of the University Orchestra and Broadway Musical Theatre Association.
The Researchers' Night, the result of a project funded by Horizon 2020 EU program this year has the theme "People for a Better Future", with which you want to focus on the role of researchers in society .
