The Office for European and International Projects at the University of Murcia (Operum) organizes, in collaboration with the Seneca Foundation, a day to inform researchers of the educational institution about the details of the 2016 Starting Grant calls and Consolidator, Council European Research (ERC).
The conference, which will take place next Monday, September 21, from 10:30 pm in the Auditorium Lumeras Hermenegildo Castro (Faculty of Chemistry), will be attended by Esther Rodriguez, national contact point ERC, who will present the new calls for such aid for 2016 and explain the keys to the preparation of proposals.
The convocatoriaStarting Grant support is excellent researchers on any subject with postdoctoral experience between 2 and 7 years, and have shown some scientific independence of supervisors and a high potential for leadership.
These grants, which fund projects with a high level of between 1.5 and 2 million euros for a maximum of five years, will be open until November 17.
For its part, the Consolidator Grant, whose principal investigator grants must be in possession of a doctoral degree with age between 7 and 12 years, are aimed at researchers who want to consolidate a research group.
The closing date of this call is scheduled for February 2016.
The ERC supports projects of new and potentially very profitable research, but high risk.
Its specific objective is to "reinforce the excellence, dynamism and creativity of European research."
