"Phantom Expression and inaccuracy" is the title of the exhibition of the artist Elena Vicente Herranz that will be opened in the hall of the Chapel of Convalescence University of Murcia on Tuesday 22 September at 20 am.
The exhibition is organized by the Hall of Visual Arts at the University of Murcia, will remain open until 13 November.
The works in the exhibition are made from extracted ideas of analysis of the painting "The Ambassadors" by Hans Holbein painted in 1533 and the pavement of Westminster Abbey, London, conducted by Roman craftsmen Cosmati family in 1268, and also present in the painting itself.
A picture full of symbols that have given rise to many studies, both for its historic interest as for its visual qualities and, above all, by the many enigmas contained therein, introduced by the painter through multiple keys that have tried to be deciphered by many art historians.
Elena Vicente Herranz in love with this work, whose image accompanied and fascinated him for years says.
The play "stereoscopic Fear" raises an inquiry into the three-dimensional image that explores issues and circumstances included in the picture, as the anamorfismo or deformation of objects.
"The code of this sculptural piece argues the artist focuses on the possibilities they have certain images to show what is in front of what appears".
"With certain techniques, the artist continues: binocular human vision system may perceive a reality stereoscopically, ie with volume."
Given the visual riddles of the picture, Elena Vicente Herranz proposes a series of analogies which translate into sculptures.
"Building a work can explain things that otherwise would not understand," he says.
