The Councillor for Finance and Employment, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, announced that for the first time in the City, the first Tenders Committee will be held with the presence of a member representing each of the local political groups tomorrow.
The mayor explained that "the government team intends to make a transparent administration, where all contracts are by all political groups studied carefully, ensuring access to information and gives clarity to the recruitment process."
In this way fulfills the commitment Ballesta Mayor announced that one of his first measures to ensure transparency in public tendering processes was the inclusion of opposition groups in these meetings.
The agenda of the topics brought to the attention of the members of the table with 48 hours notice so that, if they consider appropriate, to consult the records, which are guarded, as required by legislation, in the own Recruitment Services in order to ensure the safety of them.
These meetings, which are public and which often turn the various contractors that have submitted tenders, are formed by officials of the Legal Services, Intervention and Trade, as well as a responsibility of the municipal service that corresponds to the contract.
