The process of modernization of the city of Murcia continues to advance with a new initiative: the abolition of payroll delivery on paper municipal employees.
This simple measure "represents a savings of close to 100,000 euros a year to city coffers," said the councilor stressed Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, Jose Guillen.
Specifically, municipal employees received their last pay slip on paper last July.
"It's been a process that has been made gradually, service to service, to complete the last: Local Police and Fire, which are the most numerous in terms of workers," said Jose Guillen.
"The initiative to remove the paper came from officials responsible for Personnel Service, in collaboration with the Computing Service, and has an outstanding acceptance by municipal employees, which also now receive more than 15 days before their payrolls, since digitization has accelerated delivery times, "he stressed the Councillor for Administration Modernisation.
Previously, the City was delivering a total of 2,800 payroll on paper.
"Each carried a printed receipt justifying wage, an envelope was hand-delivered to each worker.
With the digitization of this service not only saves money, but also time, which optimizes the inner workings of the Consistory and public resources ".
