The Ministry of Education and Universities leverages the summer months to undertake improvements in schools so that students start the course Murcia with schools in the best conditions
The Ministry of Education and Universities is developing improvement works in a total of 15 schools and colleges in the city of Murcia during the summer months.
In total, the Ministry invested 327,966 euros for these works that "will be considerably improved schools for the start of the school year next September."
The general director of Educational Centers, Maria Dolores Valcárcel visited this morning three of the centers that are developing works, accompanied by the Councillor for Education, Rafael Gomez.
So, they oversaw the proceedings in schools Urruti Churra Perez, Juan Carlos I of Llano de Brujas, and Santiago Garcia Medel Era Alta.
During the work day, the director explained that since the regional government "are working and putting all our efforts the summer months to Murcia students begin the course in optimum conditions."
Schools and colleges in the works that are being developed are CEIP San José de Calasanz, EEC Perez Urruti, CEIP Santiago Garcia Medel, CEIP Juan Carlos I, EEC Holy Christ of Mercy, CEIP María Maroto, EEI Infante Juan Manuel, IES Alfonso X the Wise, the IES Floridablanca, the IES Fleet, IES Ramon y Cajal, EEI Los Rosales, CEIP Ramon Gaya, CEIP Arteaga, and CEIP Holy Angel.
Among the actions that are being developed they include access improvements, electrical installations, refurbishment of toilets, replacement windows, adaptation and reform in classrooms, improved space for recreation, and paved patios, among others.
To conclude, the general director of Educational Centers, Maria Dolores Valcárcel, said: "This year has increased by 10 percent the total budget for the refurbishment of schools during the summer months, which are being undertaken one total of 41 in the whole region. "
