With just 29 years, Ivan Leon, a graduate in Electronic Engineering, was raised a year ago to create his own company, Glexport an export-oriented food products with designation of origin company.
Located in Murcia, more specifically in the business incubator of the Technological Institute of the UCAM, it has managed to export more than 25 tonnes of foodstuffs Spaniards across Europe in its first year of existence.
This company, founded in 2014, stems from the skills acquired by its founder in the Master in Business Administration and MBA, who attended during the years 2012-2013.
"From the beginning of my studies I gave me the tools and knowledge needed in business models for different ideas. With this educational background, and after participating in several entrepreneurial initiatives at regional, born Glexport".
By centralizing purchases through a web platform, the company already exports to countries like UK, Austria, Estonia and Latvia, thus enhancing the production of typical products of the region and allowing any professional to position their products in abroad without major investments in business management.
Over the next year, its founder bet on a stronger entry into the German market through its online store positioning, Eat Iberican, and support of various portals of the German Chamber of Commerce.
For its part, the UCAM, through the Technological Institute, will continue to provide, during this course, various actions to train and advise entrepreneurs with business ideas or business initiatives, as well as professionals who want to enhance the strength, visibility and profitability of its business in order to promote the business of the region.
