The Department of Urban Quality level increases demand for work in public.
Companies carrying out work on the streets of Murcia should leave equal to or better than its beginning.
A new ordinance will impose more stringent conditions for these companies, ensuring the replenishment, conservation and protection of public spaces
The councilor of the Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, Jose Guillen, has announced that the City "will maximize the requirement with firms carrying out work on public roads".
"The goal is that when any service business rush a work in the streets of Murcia, the work done will not be a change in this area, this will be better than in the state it was," said the councilman.
"We have received various suggestions and requests from residents requesting this measure through the various channels of communication that the City has open and allow a daily interaction with them," stated Guillen, who stressed that the modification law "is a step beyond to ensure the optimal condition of roads throughout the municipality."
Thus, "trenching on the street will not be authorized if the promoter of the work is not committed before leaving the track as it was, and in perfect condition", stated the head of the area, who added "not authorize such action if there is a disadvantage of the public."
Specifically, the new Ordinance on the licensing application and execution of ditches and tastings in municipal public spaces, impose more stringent conditions for these companies, ensuring replenishment, conservation and protection of the public interest, and raising bonds that cover the damage on the streets, if it occurs.
"Summer is a time of year in which the work will intensify in the street and our goal is that, around the holidays, find their city Murcia in perfect condition," concluded the councilor Modernization Administration, Urban Quality and Participation.
