On the proposal of the municipal government recovery line 27, which will be for approval to the Parliament next Thursday, July 30, the South Coast Platform Murcia is also considered appropriate to make the following considerations:
1. The return line 27 has been a constant demand of this platform since it was abolished in 2012 and replaced by the Optimization Plan of the former Public Transport Public Transport Authority.
Their operation therefore welcomes and encourages us to continue fighting for the recovery of public transport, in the South Coast and the rest of the municipality of Murcia.
2. For the recovery to be truly effective line 27 must meet the mobility needs of the Arrixaca and Park West, two of the biggest attraction of mobility centers of the municipality.
The itinerary and the time line frequency must take into account the needs of users Arrixaca, as well as workers of both centers of attraction of mobility.
3. This is not only to recover this or those other missing lines (the 12 of the Chapel of the Rosary and Aljucer 61) but also to make proper planning of the mobility needs of the districts of the municipality taking as backbones of such mobility (current and future) bus lines.
The dimensions of the city of Murcia and the network of districts of the municipality advise a thorough analysis of the potential mobility of bus lines before embarking on the expansion of the tram line 1, which would mortgage the local economy even more.
It is for these reasons that this platform holds that "the tram not now."
4. In connection with the above, should be created as soon as possible Municipal Transport Company that deals with the planning and management of public transport in the city.
5. It must therefore be a single administration seized the city public transport: the city of Murcia is the only one to guarantee the right of citizens' mobility within their territory, as stated in Law 10/2015 of 24 March, approving the system of powers set out in the urban and intercity transportation in the Region of Murcia.
6. Since we are at the center of a metropolitan area that encompasses nearly half of the population of the region (42.34%), and there are long distance lines (Alcantarilla Santomera or mainly) covering an urban service in it ( Nonduermas, Monteagudo, El Esparragal, Cobatillas), is essential to the creation of a Public Transport Authority (EFA) to coordinate regional mobility.
7. A table Mobility and Transport Advisory Board should be established with a broad representation of neighborhood associations, unions, etc.
to review the current system (lines, frequencies, prices, etc.).
