Expand the services offered by the Center for Research in High Performance Sports UCAM-La Manga Club, mainly elite sports teams but also to people linked to professional and amateur sport, is the goal of the collaboration agreement signed between the Catholic University of Murcia The resort La Manga Club and Mesa Hospital del Castillo.
The UCAM and La Manga Club and maintained an agreement since the launch of this center, which is now extended with the inclusion in the CIARD of sports physiotherapy service, which will be conducted by professionals with extensive experience in the sector .
In addition, the project incorporating Mesa Hospital del Castillo, this offering is completed by the medical service, including surgical services, with high prestige trauma, or the use of cutting-edge devices like MRIs, etc.
The agreement was signed by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM;
Luis Mesa del Castillo, General Director of the Hospital, and Jose Asenjo Vera, General Director of La Manga Club, who underlined "the product is powerful, dare I say it is unique in Spain, and puts us in the lead in this such facilities. "
In the signing ceremony also featured Pedro Emilio Alcaraz, director of the Center, who has said that with the addition of Hospital "and had the potential as a research center is strengthened. One team that has recently undergone Research Center and High Performance Sports UCAM-La Manga Club has been the Sevilla FC, reigning Europa League.
The whole of Seville was in the resort making a 'stage' preseason and wanted to take the opportunity to make a working session on the premises of CIARD.
