The Board of Governors approved the specification for the procurement of project activities Leisure and Recreation with Children yAdolescencia (EPI) and the project of Summer Schools, providing alternatives to the leisure time to promote personal development and the active participation of children between 6 and 12 years for the next course.
With these projects, they may prevent and detect situations of risk or social exclusion of children, promoting positive interpersonal relationships and healthy habits through teamwork, play, physical activity, sports, culture and creative action.
Summer Schools
1900 children / as will enjoy, for free, Summer Schools during the month of July 2016, which are aimed at continuation of activities of leisure and free time, are a resource for the involvement of children in situation vulnerability or risk of social exclusion, with which it is working from the Municipal Social Services Centres.
A total of 1,265 children born between 2003 and 2008, are already enjoying summer schools during the month of July for free in various districts of the municipality.
The most common contents of the Summer Schools program are related to the theater, visual arts, music, sports, cooking, popular games, experiments, wealth, etc.
The activities will aim to achieve objectives such as:
1. To facilitate the realization of alternative leisure activities in the free time of children during the summer.
2. To promote attitudes of tolerance and solidarity among children.
3. Facilitate through the activities, participation, exchange and collaboration among children / as.
4. Encourage training in technical workshops and activities that can be applied later in the summer entertainment.
5. Encourage the playful aspects.
6. Knowing the heritage of the districts through various activities.
7. Know and perform simple experiments related to light.
Leisure and Recreation
Leisure activities and free time encourage teamwork of children, education in the values ​​of coexistence, respect for the environment, solidarity, gender equality, etc, and will take place during the months of January to May and from October to December with a monthly total of 1524 hours.
