The councilman of Promotion, Roque Ortiz, held this morning a first contact with the representatives of the Industry Bureau of Taxi to meet their needs and prioritize the different actions to improve the sector.
Ortiz has reminded that this autumn the Plaza Díez de Revenga Cetina and have new shelters with capacity for eight seats, which serve to protect drivers and users of this mode of transport from the weather and sun.
The new facility, steel, have a reflective coating elastic and dissipative heat.
In addition, it will have a strip of 20 meters LED lighting 250w power and allowing a full night visibility.
The covers are modern, with white and red tones, such as taxis circulating in the city, and the name of the registered stop.
At the meeting the council is committed to finding locations for new shelters both in the town and villages.
Taxi drivers also highlighted the smooth running of the new ordinance that regulates the sector, establishing rights and duties of drivers and customers, and which came into force last May.
So, Ortiz explained to them that in the coming months we must continue to develop this legislation and implementing the various actions that incorporate the century plus taxi to reconcile the different transport for larger fraction of the taxi industry.
The mayor stressed that "taxi drivers are image of the municipality, are Murcia offering information to visitors so it is a sector that the government team will strengthen with new measures that will be implemented as Bonotaxi or possible tax reductions ".
