The social economy has become the most effective way of combating unemployment and it has assured the Mayor, José Ballesta, at the opening of the Spanish-Portuguese summit held today in Murcia, with the assistance of the president of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, Minister of Employment and Social Security, Fátima Báñez, and the Minister of Solidarity and Social Security of Portugal, Pedro Mota.
In proportion to other economic sectors, the best ally for economic recovery have been the corporations and labor unions, said Ballesta, who also stressed that also featured the highest percentage of permanent contracts and "exceptional capacity to cope with complicated situations that threw up the unfavorable economic environment in recent years. "
In his speech, the Mayor has identified the social economy as one of the most important pillars for the creation of employment and social cohesion throughout Europe.
"The solidarity, openness, participation and humanism are inherent values ​​Murcia and its people", why it is not free of the linkages between the region and the social economy, because "this is generous, rich and hospitable."
Moreover, Ballesta also recalled that the solutions proposed by the cooperative to combat unemployment, the fight against inequality and poverty, are characterized, above any other principle, by the "recovery of human beings".
