A intergenerational solidarity project coordinated by Professor of the University of Murcia wins the prize Siforage (02/07/2015)

The project "Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity. An example in the university context", which has coordinated the professor of the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia Silvia Martinez de Miguel, has been awarded the Innovation Research Prize (Siforage) Social Award 2014.

The work, commitment and closer interaction between the young and the elderly, as well as awareness about the importance of social participation thereof, provides, in a university context, a perspective of professional exchange and promotion intergenerational solidarity.

In collaboration with the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS) and the Professional Association of Social Educators of the Region, the project is conducted by professors Education Group, Quality of Life and Development at the University Andrés Escarbajal, Juan Antonio Salmeron, Luis Miñano and Maria Antonia Sanchez.
