Before signing the motion, Murcia now has contacted representatives of the Platform Pro-Underground, to know its position
All political groups represented in the city of Murcia agreed today the filing of a joint motion on the underground, including the cessation of work undertaken, resulting in the arrival of the AVE on the surface.
During the meeting, which started at 13.00 and resumed in the afternoon, it has negotiated the content of the motion.
The first three points literally collect the contents of the proposed motion drafted by now Murcia from the claims of the Pro-Underground Platform.
The proposal requires the review of job and cancellation of the construction project of the AVE on the surface, the cessation of work and, where appropriate, bringing an administrative appeal before the National Court.
These points have been added to the proposal of the PP, three additional points of a political nature and procedure.
Although consensus has been widespread on all points of the motion, now Murcia has expressed reservations about the wording of the fifth item, which specifies that if the Ministry of Development accept an addendum to the protocol of actions is "would override" the cessation of work.
After consultation with representatives of the Pro-Underground Platform, Murcia Now finally signed the motion at five in the afternoon, after other groups had signed hours earlier.
The motion was approved at the extraordinary plenary that the PP has promised to convene on 10 July.
