The member of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPG) Nuria Diaz stressed today the importance of the right of the European Union (EU) during the lesson closing ceremony of the School of Labor Practice at the University of Murcia.
Diaz, who was for several years the state attorney representing Spain before the Court of Justice of the EU in Luxembourg, during the conference analyzed the social aspects of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the Union.
Stressing the importance of Community law, it has been said that "is like the air we breathe", being rules that are above those of each state and can be invoked directly by the victims before the courts.
Among those rights contained in the Charter, the speaker has referred, inter alia, to collective bargaining, protection of young people at work, working conditions and others.
Prior to the intervention of Diaz, which was presented by fellow CGPJ and former president of the Superior Court of the Region of Murcia, Juan Martínez Moya, the director of the Center School created 27 years ago, Guillermo Rodriguez, It has highlighted the main activities developed throughout the course.
Rodriguez has indicated that the different training and workshops held during the same attended by over 800 professionals and behind his words have intervened Secretary of the Faculty of Labour Sciences, Alejandra Selma, and President of the Association of Graduates social, Jose Ruiz.
