"Psychological Intervention in functional rehabilitation of sports injuries" is the title of a course at the International University Campus Mar-Mare Nostrum, to be held at the Faculty of Sports Science of San Javier week from 6 to 10 July.
According to officials of the course "the significant increase in recent years of serious injuries in sport, especially in football, has alerted health professionals of the sports field."
Among the most innovative aspects for the treatment of these injuries include psychological factors, hence the course, taught by doctors, physical trainers and physical therapists try to determine how the psychological mechanisms include the evolution of the recovery of sports injuries and provide skills needed to improve in this area.
The event, led by Aurelio Olmedilla Zafra, professor of the Department of Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatment and Director of Sports Activities Service of the University of Murcia, has a duration of 25 hours, and those who enroll in it shall be entitled to 2 ' 5 free credits or ECTS-credit CRAU.
