The University of Murcia starts next Monday, the 29th, the sixth edition of Campus Summer Science program, in which 120 students from fourth ESO and eleventh grade in Spain come in contact with the daily work of researchers Murcia educational institution.

The program, which runs until July 24 in four shifts seven days, covering leisure scientific and cultural, such as lectures, museum visits, sports, scientific monologues and musical performances, chemical and physical recreation.

The University of Murcia participates in the projects "H20: a special molecule" (Faculty of Chemistry, Professor coordinator Maria Asuncion Hidalgo), "Biotechnology" (faculties of Biology and Veterinary, professor Alfonsa Garcia), "Researching a physical environment daily "(Faculty of Chemistry, Professor Rafael Garcia Molina) and" Scientific solving crimes: the importance of forensic science "(faculties of Biology, Medicine and Psychology, Professor José Antonio Ruiz).

The activity, a commitment to the promotion of scientific vocations among youth is supervised at the University of Murcia by the coordinator of the Unit of Scientific Culture and Research Promotion, Rosa Maria Ros, and sponsored by the Campus of International Excellence Mare Nostrum.

Scientific Campus, taking place in several Campus of Excellence are an initiative of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, with the support of "la Caixa" .
