The Delegation of Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Murcia has donated a portion of the amount collected during the celebration of their patron saint to the Centaur Chiron Foundation, for the treatment of children José Antonio Martinez, suffering from a disease rare.
Other money has been earmarked for the purchase of 6,800 kg of non-perishable food that will go to Caritas.
The donation was made during the awards ceremony of the VI Olympiad of Economics and Business in the Region of Murcia, which was won by Marina Ortuño Carrion Marist College La Merced Fuensanta, followed by Lou Ye Cheng, the Colegio Monteagudo-Nelva, and Francisco Javier Martinez Alcaraz, also Marist.
These three students represent Murcia in the national phase of the Olympiad, to be held at the University of Málaga from 24 to 26 June.
The Regional Olympiad, which was attended by 175 students of 2nd Baccalaureate from 36 centers, was organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business at the educational institution, in collaboration with the Association of Economists of the Region and the sponsorship of the Foundation Seneca.
