The Mayor, José Ballesta, today introduced the new administrative structure for the current City Council Corporation, including the delegation of powers among the 11 council members who, with him, will integrate the government team.
The new structure is as follows:
- Maria del Carmen Pelegrin Garcia, Councillor of Commerce, Organization and Institutional Relations, comprising the areas of trade, car supplies, markets, statistics, general services and institutional relations.
- Jose Guillen Parra, Councillor for Administration Modernisation, Urban Quality and Participation, develop personal skills, public roads, parks and gardens, public participation and decentralization, citizen service, innovation and information society.
- Roque Ortiz Gonzalez, Councillor for Public Works, which includes the areas of infrastructure, transport, housing, urban sanitation and waste management.
- Maria de la Concepción Ruiz Caballero, Councillor of Social Rights, which includes powers of social services, care dependency, immigration, seniors, family and children, people with disabilities, voluntary, equality and accessibility office.
- Corchón Antonio Navarro, Councillor for Planning, Environment and Huerta, covers skills on planning, quality and environmental assessment, environmental sustainability, agriculture and orchard.
- Felipe Coello Fariña, Councillor of Sports and Health, prevention programs including health, drug prevention plan, vaccinations, sports programs and sport basis.
- Maria Dolores Sanchez Alarcon, Councillor for Traffic Safety and Civil Protection, comprising the areas of traffic, bicycle office, local police, fire fighting, civil protection and sanctions
- Jesus Pacheco Méndez, Councillor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, includes the areas of employment training policies, training workshops, local development agency, promoting the economy, tourism, entrepreneurship support, celebrations, archive, museum and programs European.
- Rebeca Pérez López, Councillor for Youth and Development Cooperation, covering youth participation programs, exchanges, CreaMurcia, collaboration with NGOs.
- Eduardo Martínez-Oliva Aguilera, Chief Councillor of Finance and Procurement, with the areas of intervention, tax management, financial planning and budgeting.
- Rafael Gomez Carrasco, Councillor of Education, University Relations and Heritage, with jurisdiction over education, libraries, nursery schools, educational programs, maintenance of schools and heritage.
Also, the Mayor has appointed Spokesman of the Municipal People Rebecca Perez and Deputy Speaker Jesus Pacheco.
The Mayor, along with members of the government team, will address the media at the Garden of the Glorieta at 19 hours.
