Change how to interpret the health care of people promoting research work in everything related to the development of applied technology in favor of them, are some of the key points of the collaboration agreement signed this morning at the Catholic University Murcia and Telefónica Association to Aid the Handicapped (ATAM, an institution created by Telefónica and its employees).
The agreement was signed by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Ignacio Aizpún Vines ATAM Director General who underlined the breadth and importance of the research that can be started and that will help people with disabilities , dependent elderly or chronically ill.
In addition, Aizpún has ensured that there is a need to change the way of interpreting health care.
"So far we have a model of care that separates a person from the merely physical realm of the social environment, and in the future we will have a more holistic view of this," and noted as a possible way to do information technology.
"But they have to be used either in favor of the people, not to have control over them."
