This Sunday, May 31, the feast of Santa Maria of the Arrixaca, former patron of the Kingdom of Murcia is celebrated.
For this reason, at 19:30 on Sunday, it will celebrate Mass in the parish of San Andrés de Murcia, chaired by the chaplain of the Royal and Ancient Brotherhood of Devotees of St. Mary of the Arrixaca and pastor of St. Andrew, Carbonero Jose Antonio Arias.
This year held the compliment to the Virgin poet Alfonso Pacheco Murcia Navarro and make the offering of the Region Juan Martínez Moya, former president of the Superior Court.
The parish choir will perform the Mass composed for this event and the official anthem, based on the Cantiga the poet Gerardo Diego, both composed by Juan Iniesta.
As usual, after communion the choir will perform the Cantiga 169 composed by King Alfonso X the Wise Santa Maria of the Arrixaca.
After the celebration, the image of the old patron of the Kingdom of Murcia tour the streets of San Andres in procession.
