On the occasion of the celebration of World Environment Day, the Department of Environment installed between 26 May and 5 June, an information booth in the Plaza de Santo Domingo under the motto "Live your jardines隆".
Murcia City Council joins the celebration promoted by UNESCO's World Environment Day.
This day is celebrated around the world since 1973, commemorating a June 5, 1972 in Stockholm began the first UN Conference on the environment.
This year the aim of the information campaign of the council is to educate citizens about the importance of environmental protection, in particular the role of green areas in the urban environment.
The opening hours of the information booth will be Monday to Sunday from 11-14 hours, Monday to Saturday from 17.30 to 20.30.
Various activities are scheduled in the Murcia can participate for free and without prior registration:
路 On Friday, May 29th, from 18 am, a tasting of organic products will be made, for which it has enjoyed the cooperation of "Zagaleco, organic food".
路 On Monday, June 1, at 18 am, there will be a "Workshop: Make your own eco planter".

路 On Tuesday, June 2, at 20 am a public session of yoga on the Malecon Garden will take place, to which are invited all people who want to participate in an activity designed to add value to our parks as places of relaxation .
路 On Wednesday, June 3, at 18 am, there will be a "Workshop of recycled toys," especially aimed at children, in which a toy from domestic recycling material will be developed.
路 On Thursday, June 4, at 18 am there will be a "sustainable gadgets Exhibition equipment powered by solar energy" and a "workshop kite" to which it has the support of IES Mariano Baquero.
路 On Friday, June 5, at 19 hours, will be a storyteller outdoor specially designed for children.
In addition to planned activities, citizens who come to the booth will see, among other things, the winning posters in the school competition on World Environment Day promoted by the council, or participate in "The Garden of Ideas" , recreation of a small garden with recycled cardboard figures where people who want it hang by post suggestions and proposals for improving the green areas of the municipality.
The information booth is part of the Program for Environmental Information and Sensitization of the Department of Environment.
