The auditorium of the UCAM has welcomed this morning the 'European Conference I + COM + PRI: Basic Skills' that are part of a project which is funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
The UCAM leading this initiative through its Faculty of Sport, in collaboration with other universities, like the University of Oviedo and Auburn University in Alabama.
Its main objective is to understand that perception are teachers and students of primary education, basic skills since been implemented.
The opening was attended by the director general of Educational Quality, Innovation and Attention to Diversity in the Region of Murcia María Begoña Iniesta, the Vice President for Research UCAM Estrella Nunez, Antonio Sánchez Pato, dean of the Faculty of Sport and Antonio Calderon, principal investigator of the project.
Maria Begoña Iniesta said the importance of this research, and who participated nearly one hundred schools and 10,000 students and teachers from the Region of Murcia: "It is a project that invites reflection and debate and certainly bring great benefits the education sector. "
Meanwhile, Estrella Nunez highlighted the great research that is being done from the Faculty of Sport and noted the importance of this type of research because they give great contributions to society.
