Almudí Palace hosts this afternoon, at 20 hours, the opening of the exhibition 'Contemporary art in the wake of centum', with which the centenary of the University of Murcia is celebrated.
The exhibition presents some of the works of contemporary art that are part of the rich heritage of the educational institution and that, thanks to the exhibition can now be seen by all.
So, can be done in one room, a tour of the best artists of the twentieth century Murcia among them José Planes, Gonzalez Moreno Gonzalez Beltran, Gaya, Avellaneda, Muñoz Barberán, Hernansáez, Molina Sánchez, Hornbeam, Parraga, Pedro Cano, Martínez Mengual, Manuel Perez, Carmen Artigas and Francisco Caballero.
In total shown up to 24 paintings, four sculptures and an installation.
The artistic heritage of the University of Murcia began with the first grants made in 1948 the Marquis de Corvera, Alvaro D'Estoup Quarter.
The equity has grown significantly thanks to the many contributions of artists, incorporating the works awarded in the various editions of Painting and Photography Awards and various acquisitions.
