One of the firefighters who is working in the emergency work after the earthquake in Nepal participates in the International Conference on Architectural Works Intervention after Earthquake opened today in the UCAM
After the new earthquake suffered yesterday in Nepal are still assessing the needs and level of involvement of the population.
The most important needs today are providing food, distribution of blankets, offer temporary housing solutions and "ensure that all resources reach the most affected areas," said Damian Garcia Soriano, one of the firefighters who collaborated on emergency work in Nepal, and has participated this morning in the first day of the International Conference on Architectural Works Intervention after Earthquake: L'Aquila (2009), Lorca (2011) and Emilia Romagna (2012), organized by grades Architecture and Building Engineering UCAM.
Similarly, he noted that the rescue require previous work in training, recruitment and, in particular, coordination among all action groups working through an emergency plan established under the magnitude of the disaster.
