The Youth Council provides 99 places for young people between 15 and 25 years to participate this summer in European exchanges abroad and practice language while living with young people your age from different nationalities.
The 17 different exchanges will be held during the months of July and August in Belgium, Greece, Luxembourg, Slovakia, United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, Portugal and France.
The Councillor for Youth, Rebeca Perez, recalled that this program this year celebrates its nineteenth edition with great success of participation since it allows young people to meet EU countries by living with other young people and implement their knowledge language, while Murcia make ambassadors in other countries.
Each exchange has a different theme and Jazz Music, Creative Europe, Equality, nature, graffiti, XXXI International Music Week in Ettelbruck (Luxembourg), storytelling, responsible consumption, traditions and Europe, among many others.
In addition, each activity has a participation differently aged between 15 and 25 years, and the number of seats varies between 3 and 9. Applicants must be registered in the municipality of Murcia prior to April 1, 2015. Each participant must submit related exchange that wants to participate merits.
Every young person will be given a score, knowledge of languages ​​(participation in the municipal Club Languages, study in the Official School of Languages, bilingual studies), participation in associations, ESO or high school studies, participation in municipal activities will be assessed , having participated in the municipal contest CreaMurcia, etc.
Furthermore, the presence of young people who have not previously participated in exchanges, balanced representation of men and women, and older candidates will be favored.
If two applicants are tied in points a draw will take place and the alphabetical order of surname will apply.
The deadline for submitting applications begins on Monday, May 11 and ends on May 21.
They may be submitted to the Youth Service (C / Cronista Carlos Valcarcel, against Club de Tenis), on schedule Monday from 9 to 14:30 and 17 to 19 hours;
and Tuesday through Friday from 9 to 14.30.
Each exchange includes round-trip travel, accommodation, meals, activities, insurance and monitors who accompany the group throughout the activity.
