At 20.30 in Romea Theater |

The city of Murcia and Murcia Cope in organizing the fourth edition of the Sports Awards, a gala in which the path and worth of the best Murcia athletes and professionals in the world of sport is recognized.

The awards will be presented tomorrow, Friday, May 8, at the Teatro Romea, at 20.30.

Among the winners is El Pozo Murcia, Miguel Angel Lopez athlete Nicholas, Alejandro Valverde, UCAM Murcia CB, journalist Antonio Gonzalez Barnes, the Cronos JM Bacons Bridge Club, Polo Club Murcia, Valverde Team, the manager of the ex- Real Murcia and agent representation of athletes Francisco Sanchez Sabater, Ripoll and De Prado, CFS El Progreso and footballer Antonio Martinez doctors.

The gala will be hosted by journalists Ivan Gomez and Esther Martinez;

and will feature performances by Momo Cortés, Xuso Jones and Ruth Lorenzo.

Invitations to attend as public can be collected in Cadena COPE Murcia.

The City Council is committed to the sport with the organization and support of major events, and promoting sport basis.

In the city, more than 25,000 children participate in activities of the Department of Sports, being the largest with 7,613 football players and students.

In total, more than 100,000 users play sports in one of the 400 public facilities.

Murcia is the second city in Spain in number of football fields.
