The University of Murcia organizes the First Conference "New spaces for literacy and multiple intelligences" that will take place on 7 and 8 May 2015. At this meeting, experts and researchers will reflect together on the necessary literacies in a world characterized by the multiplicity of formats, communication channels, genres and discourses.
Transmedia issues such as literacy, cinema and education, critical pedagogies and advertising speeches, or literacies for empowerment will be discussed.
The sessions are open to the general public, and will combine lectures, roundtable discussions and video projections.
The program participants what teachers integrate professionals from different areas that show both analysis and classroom experiences and various Spanish universities.
Guest speakers include, among others, Antoni Badia, at the Open University of Catalonia;
Ferrés i Joan Prats, of the University Pompeu Fabra;
Maria Pinto, University of Granada, and Juan Manuel Escudero of the University of Murcia.
Film Collective without Author, represented by Gerardo Tudurí and Eva Fernandez will participate in a panel discussion on film literacy.
