The UCAM Catholic University San Antonio has signed a collaboration agreement with UPTA Union of Professionals and Self-Employed Workers in the region, with the aim of promoting individual self-employment in autonomous regime, through training programs, seminars and activities that incorporate the bulk of this group to the current digital environment.
Specifically, the agreement provides further among the self-employed the use of new technologies, by developing e-commerce platforms, the daily use of websites and social networks.
To do this, it will be identified by UPTA a list of companies participating in the project in which students can collaborate on digital literacy of them.
Thus, the integration of students into employment guarantees, through the theoretical training offered by universities, and technical and practical reality offered by companies.
The agreement was signed by the President of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, and Enrique Rios, technical coordinator of UPTA Murcia, who emphasized the importance of the agreement, saying that "this is a great opportunity for collaboration to bring the University knowledge to a business group that is generating a lot of employment and activity in the region "
The ceremony was also attended by the CEO of ITM, Juan Hernandez, who stressed "the adaptation of business in the digital environment helps to increase competitiveness in the market, while optimizing costs and attract future customers."
