The importance of the degree of doctor for access to the labor market will be one of the issues to be discussed at the conference I organized by the International Doctoral School of the University of Murcia, directed by Professor Gregorio Sánchez, to discuss problems current doctoral students.

The program consists of plenary lectures, panel discussions and presentation of oral and written communications, to be held on 28 and 29 April in the University Community Centre and allow the exchange of experiences among PhD students from the five branches of knowledge, and the dissemination of research activity of these.

The sessions, which will be inaugurated by the Prince of Asturias Award for Research 2014 Avelino Corma, also teach improve exposure and dissemination of doctoral theses, as well as boost the creative capacities of study and research among doctoral students.

Speakers include Lluis Jofre, CEO of Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya;

Ricardo Mairal, Vice Chancellor for Research at the UNED;

José García Solanes, Professor of Economic Analysis at the University of Murcia;

Ramón Males, former director of the International Doctoral School of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, and Marina Villegas, CEO of Scientific Research and Technology of Ministry of Economy and Finance, which will close the meeting.
