The "Tribute to Marisa Madieri Congress. Writers exodus and exile" will tomorrow, Friday, April 17, with the presence of the writer Claudio Magris, doctor honoris causa by the University of Murcia, who will meet with attendees at the Chamber of Arts, Merced campus, from 12:15 hours.
The congress, organized by the Department of Italian Studies at the University of Murcia in collaboration with the Spanish Society of Italianists and Writers Research Group and scriptures honors which were Magris wife, the writer Marisa Madieri (Fiume, 1938 Trieste, 1996).
Madieri literary work reflects the experience and condition of the Istrian-Dalmatian exodus, when, after World War II, 350,000 Italians had to leave their homes to live in refugee camps, their hometowns to spend part of Yugoslavia.
Dialogue with Magris, which also involved the Vice Chancellor of Communication and Culture, José Antonio Gómez, literary criticism Mercedes Monmany and Professor of Italian Studies Pedro Luis Ladron de Guevara, is also part of the series "Reunion with our and our doctors honoris causa ", organized by the University of Murcia on the occasion of its centennial.
