The Sports Council has awarded the contract to remodel the athletics track of Monte Romero stadium located on the campus of Espinardo.
The work consists of sand and clean the surface and apply a layer, pneumatic projection, polyurethane resins with mixed colored EPDM granules.
This is a pavement approved by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), the international body regulating the sport.
In addition, the eight streets will be marked and aluminum perimeter curb remodel.
The investment is 134,000 euros and the lead time of approximately two months.
The athletics track stadium Monte Romero is being used by athletic clubs, the municipal school athletics and users who play sports.
The Monte Romero Stadium football field also has natural grass, weight room and locker rooms.
Murcia City Council is committed to promoting athletics as there are a large number of youth and adults who practice this sport in the town.
Thus continues the collaboration agreement with Athletic Club Murcia for organizing races and to encourage popular sport among the population.
