The Councillor for Culture, Rafael Gomez, has not wanted to miss the tribute that the city has been taxed to Ibn Arabi on the occasion of World Poetry Day.
Organized by the Ramón Gaya Museum, this activity was performed for the first time in 2011, when the continuous reading of poems and texts Soren Peñalver and his favorite poets took place.

The continuous reading is celebrated throughout the day, from 10 am to 20 pm.
The Unesco chose March 21 as World Poetry Day in order to "encourage support for poets, back to the enchantment of orality and re-establish dialogue between poetry and other arts", and to achieve that " the art of poetry is not considered an art fallen into disuse, but a tool that enables society to regain and assert its identity. "
