The Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) has taken another step to continue growing in the field of training and research in the world of diving and apnea.
To this end, it has signed an agreement with two companies in this sector are a worldwide reference: Scuba Schools International, specializing in the field of training and Mares diving materials manufacturer.
Gemma Gea, secretary of the Faculty of Sport of the UCAM, stressed after signing the agreement some key agreement: "We will enhance sports qualifications to be taught in college soon and strengthen the training we are already offering in some subjects of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport. In this way, our students get a degree with one of the leading companies worldwide, giving them more possibilities in a labor market that is increasingly competitive " .
Jean-Claude Monachon, global vice president of Scuba Schools International, highlighted the prestige that have these qualifications to be the hallmark of a company with such travel in this field: "We offer training for apnea diving instructors worldwide for more than forty and are one of the world leaders. "
Marc Mayoral, sales manager Mares in Spain, highlighting the other party to the agreement, more focused on the research: "Mares is an Italian company and is the oldest in the diving world since it was founded in 1949. We conduct studies research regarding diving equipment and hence we are interested in this agreement with the UCAM that both are investing in research. "
